Experience loading and testing mobile applications
Hands on experience with Smartphone operating systems, including Android, iPhone OS, Palm OS, Symbian OS, Blackberry OS and Windows Mobile
Strong understanding of operating system concepts such as device drivers, network communications, and serial communications
Must be a fast learner, able to adapt to new applications and frameworks, and eager to work on fast-paced, exciting, and innovative technologies
Experience with databases and XML data formats
Experience with RDBMS, stored procedures development and SQL server management studio

Additionally desired skills:

Experience in communicating with mobile devices through standard interfaces
Experience loading (flashing) firmware on mobile devices
Experience using tools to unlock or “jail-break” mobile devices
Experience with remote control technology such as VNC

Responsibilities: Our Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be involved in creating and executing complex test cases and will be working directly with the Software Development and Solutions team here at DeviceAnywhere (Solutions handles product delivery to our customers) to improve the quality of the products that are released. The QA Engineer will be expected to bring a breadth of QA experience and best practices to the company. This is a position for an experienced QA Engineer that wants to take on a unique challenge interfacing with multiple teams and working on high priority projects at DeviceAnywhere.

Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.
• Comprehensive experience with Software Test Methodology.
• Minimum 4 years Software Quality Assurance experience testing both web and rich client applications required.
• Experience shipping customer facing software products requiring multiple lifecycles.
• Experience with automation tools such as Quick Test Pro, Loadrunner, Winrunner etc.
• Experience with lifecycle management frameworks such as Quality Center or Rational Quality Manager.
• Hands on experience with developing automation scripts.
• Experience testing in Windows environments.
• Experience dealing with offshore engineers on a daily basis in a technical role.
• Strong scripting skills (bash, perl) is a plus.
• Intermediate hardware, networking, test lab management skills a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with an ability to work successfully as part of a team .

Responsibilities:
• Design and execute appropriate test scenarios to identify functional and performance related issues with our products.
• Reproduce customer escalated issues and bugs that are reported by Support engineers.
• As part of the testing, be able to publish conformance to exit criteria that are to be met before our product is released.
• Test planning and case development for product features to ensure complete requirements-to-test-matrix coverage.
• Conducting reviews of test plans and cases, building consensus with developers and Product Management.
• Technical mentoring of peers and junior testers, including working directly with off-shore QA resources.
• Test case execution and maintenance for assigned product areas.
• Documentation of test case steps and actual results.
• Documentation of bugs with steps to reproduction, expected and actual results.
• Champion product issues with product owners and developers to help improve customer experience.

Additionally Desired Skills:
• QA experience within the mobile application, or mobile infrastructure space.
• Knowledge of the wireless application development industry.
